42% smaller, needs less power than existing solutions
The Lumentum next generation TrueFlex Nano 1x9 WSS is 42% smaller, and requires less operating power than existing solutions. It is a low-profile LCOS-based optics platform, designed for scalability and flexibility to support gridless networking including various modulation formats and superchannels. It supports a conventional broadcast-and-select ROADM architecture and in a dual-deployment model enabled by its small size, route-and-select applications.
TrueFlex Nano 1x9 WSS is ideal for network edge and core applications.
Monitor network fiber health with OTDR technology
The OFM combines an open northbound interface with optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) technology to monitor network fiber health. It pools many significant features, such as in-service optical cable monitoring and geo-location of faults which can significantly improve field service response time and expose real-time fiber performance metrics to the cloud. These powerful features coupled with open management and vertically integrated manufacturing provide a disruptively priced alternative to traditional cable monitoring solutions.
The OFM detects link degradation and faults and returns high-resolution fault location measurements to the network operations center. Faults are geo-located within minutes.
