Dual Channel Intradyne Coherent Receiver
The Dual Channel Intradyne Coherent Receiver integrates two polarization beam splitters (PBS), four 90-degree hybrid mixers with a high-speed photodetector array and two four-channel linear TIAs supporting high-speed links up to 400G. The integrated VOAs enable input signal power control to avoid overload/saturation conditions within the receiver.
The advanced four channel TIAs are configured via a SPI interface and enable both analog and digital control/monitor functions of the ICR electronics. The base SPI commands enables control of TIA gain control mode selection, gain level (MGC mode), output amplitude and TIA internal feedback loop BW (AGC mode), TIA bandwidth, and digital monitor of PD current, gain, and output peak detector.
The SPI interface also supports full digital control and monitoring of TIA functions, enabling significant simplification of module level control circuitry.
