Lumentum’s 1.6T 2×DR4 OSFP transceiver delivers ultra-high-speed, fully retimed optical connectivity for AI and cloud data centers. Each module integrates eight electrical and eight optical channels operating at 212.5 Gbps PAM4 per lane, achieving a total bandwidth of 1.6 Tbps over single-mode fiber. With integrated DSP and silicon photonics (SiPh) technology, it provides exceptional signal integrity and reach up to 500 meters. The design includes full Tx and Rx retiming to ensure low latency and jitter for large-scale GPU and switch interconnects. Featuring 2×MPO-16/APC connectors, CMIS 5.3 management, and a compact OSFP form factor, it combines density, efficiency, and robust performance with typical power consumption of 22 W. The 1.6T 2×DR4 OSFP module enables scalable optical fabrics optimized for next-generation AI cluster and spine network architectures.
