Lumentum 980 nm pump lasers for EDFAs offer operating power levels from 100 mW to 2000 mW. The S26, S27, and S29 Series are semi-cooled at 45°C for laser diode operation, providing significant reduction in TEC and overall power consumption. The S30 and S32 pump laser modules leverage a revolutionary design and lean manufacturing processes to significantly advance the performance and scalability of 980 nm pumps.
The D2 and D22 Series, dual-chip 980 nm pump modules, incorporate the Lumentum high-reliability, high-efficiency 980 nm laser diode in a cooled fiber Bragg grating-stabilized 14-pin low-profile butterfly design and provide a noise-free, narrowband spectrum, even under changes in temperature, drive current, and optical feedback. The modules meet stringent telecommunications industry requirements, including Telcordia GR-468-CORE for hermetic 980 nm pump modules.
