Lumentum’s DML 25G CWDM laser provides efficient, compact optical performance for short- and medium-reach single-mode connectivity in data center, access, and aggregation networks. Operating at CWDM wavelengths of 1271, 1291, 1311, or 1331 nm, this indium phosphide (InP) distributed-feedback (DFB) laser supports 25G operation over distances up to 10 km. Built on Lumentum’s high-volume InP manufacturing platform, it combines excellent linearity, low chirp, and high side-mode suppression for clean optical spectra and minimal crosstalk. The device supports direct current modulation with high-speed silicon-germanium (SiGe) driver chipsets and provides predictable performance over a 20 °C to 65 °C temperature range. Proven in volume production and GR-468 qualified for long-term reliability, the DML 25G CWDM enables low-cost, energy-efficient optical transmitters for high-density 25G and 100G transceiver modules.
