Lumentum’s DML 25G CWDM laser for extended temperature applications delivers robust, energy-efficient optical performance for demanding environments in data center, access, and aggregation networks. Operating at CWDM wavelengths of 1271, 1291, 1311, or 1331 nm, this indium phosphide (InP) distributed-feedback (DFB) laser supports 25G operation over a wide temperature range from –5 °C to 85 °C and up to 10 km reach on single-mode fiber. It also supports 50G PAM4 modulation for next-generation SFP56 modules. Built on Lumentum’s high-volume InP manufacturing platform, it combines excellent linearity, low chirp, and strong side-mode suppression for clean optical spectra. GR-468 qualified for long-term reliability, the DML 25G CWDM enables compact, cost-effective transmitters for 25G and 50G optical modules used in access, 5G transport, and data center applications where thermal performance and scalability are critical.
