Surface Structuring

Process large areas in in a short time-frame

Battery manufacturers commonly run into a conflict of objectives. Although you want a cell with a large capacity, you want to be able to release the stored energy quickly as well. Laser structuring of electrodes solves this problem through 3D-structuring of the particle layer, 2D surface modification of the particle layer, or nano-structuring of the current collector. With the PicoBlade®3, battery manufacturers can also synchronize their laser system to a fast-line scanner in order to address large areas in a short time.
